This form is used to make a complaint if you have a problem with a lawyer or law practice employee, are concerned about their conduct or if you think someone might be pretending to be a lawyer. The information in this form helps us understand and assess your complaint.

If your complaint progresses to an investigation, we may be required to share your name and some of the information in your complaint with the person you are complaining about (and their lawyer) to enable them to respond. We may also be required to share this information with the Queensland Law Society or Bar Association of Queensland.
If a complaint proceeds to a disciplinary hearing, your complaint and personal information will usually be disclosed to the disciplinary body, such as the Courts, QCAT or the Legal Practice Committee.
It’s an offence to use or disclose information obtained in the complaint except as outlined in the Legal Profession Act 2007.
