We recognise the importance of media in reporting matters of public interest.

However, in accordance with confidentiality obligations of the Legal Profession Act 2007, we do not comment on complaints about, or investigations into, specific individuals or law practices.

We may make an exception if:

• the information is public record
• we are required by law.
