Requests for legal advice

The Legal Services Commission is an independent statutory body and cannot provide legal advice, intervene in court proceedings, or force a legal practitioner to do anything that they are not required to do under the Legal Profession Act 2007.

The Legal Services Commissioner has no power to deal with any underlying legal issues that caused you to visit a legal practitioner.

Community Legal Centres may offer assistance and may be able to provide legal advice free of charge.
