Under the Legal Profession Act 2007, (the Act), the Commissioner makes independent and impartial decisions regarding complaints and investigations matters with respect to lawyers, law practice employees and unlawful operators. Judicial Review Decisions

Some decisions of the Commissioner can be subject to judicial review by the Supreme Court under the Judicial Review Act 1991

Decisions by Disciplinary Bodies

The Commissioner may commence disciplinary proceedings against lawyers and law practice employees in the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT) or the Legal Practice Committee (LPC).
