Work for us
Challenging and engaging work
The Commission has a strong sense of purpose and does important and useful work – see our core business and our values. It is work that requires independence of mind, sound judgement and a capacity to work happily within a collegiate, team-based workplace culture. We make every effort to nurture and maintain a productive, motivating and professional work environment.
Career development
We have a strong commitment to continuous improvement and innovation, and to supporting our people to develop and broaden their skills accordingly. However the Commission is a small workplace of only 20 people or thereabouts and we can offer only very limited opportunities for internal career advancement. That said, the staff of the Commission, whilst accountable to the Commissioner, are employees of the Department of Justice and Attorney-General (DJAG) and have access to the same mobility and career development opportunities as all other departmental employees.
