Our performance

The Legal Profession Act 2007 requires the Commissioner to give the Attorney-General by 31 October each year a report for the immediately preceding financial year dealing 'with the system established under the Act for dealing with complaints'.   The Act also requires the Commissioner to develop 'performance criteria relating to the handling of complaints' and to include those criteria in the annual report 'together with an assessment of the Commissioner's performance against those criteria in the period to which the report relates'.

Those annual reports included detailed statistical information in the appendices.

We also prepare monthly performance reports during the course of the year and will publish those reports here as they become available.

The information in those reports is largely statistical. We also seek feedback from the people we deal with about how they perceive our performance and publish that information.
